What is internNE?
The internNE, Powered by Aksarben initiative is a
$20 million collaborative effort between the Aksarben Foundation and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. The program aims to connect students and employers statewide by reimbursing eligible internship expenses.

Eligibility for Internship Opportunities
- High school juniors or seniors
- Students in higher education
- Recent graduates (within 12 months)
Grant Details & Criteria:
- Reimbursements of up to 50% on qualified expenses, with a maximum of $7,500 per internship
- Encouraged 1:1 employer matching
Eligibility for Employers:
- Based in Nebraska
- Open to both for-profit and non-profit entities. *Government and educational institutions are *not* eligible.
